Solantu, an exclusive handbag collection inspired by Art Déco

The Art Déco period unfolded at the same time as Argentina’s golden years, when Buenos Aires, dubbed Latin America’s Paris, became a metropolis favored by an unprecedented cultural fervor that brought universal exposure to the city for the first time ever.

At Solantu we took Art Déco’s symmetry, geometrical figures and color palettes to celebrate Buenos Aires’s aesthetic heritage in every one of our creations.

We introduce a collection of “jewel-bags” manufactured by Argentina’s finest craftsmen, with hand-made alpaca (a zinc, copper and nickel alloy) clasps featuring onyx, a semi-precious stone, and guayubirá native wood details.

Our ten designs, seven to use at night and three for daywear, display Argentine Caiman Latirostris skins in a rich color palette, with both polished and glossy varnish finishes.
